Then give us a call to get booked in, we usually advise up to 30 days prior to your due date. Therefore, if any repairs are required there is plenty of time to complete and retest whilst preserving the anniversary date of your test.

Do I need to book a service with my MOT?
It is advisable to service your car once a year as a minimum or as per the manufacturer’s recommended schedule. This doesn’t need to be done at the same time as the MOT, but many find it convenient to do so. Let us know if you would like us to service your vehicle when booking your test.
How can I prepare for my MOT?
Doing simple checks on things like your tyres, are they inflated correctly? Is the horn working? Are the windscreen washers working? Checking lights and mirrors, all helps you prepare the vehicle to pass its MOT. However, these are all things we will take care of on the day, and we offer a free retest within 10 working days.
What happens if my car fails its MOT?
If your car fails its MOT, don’t panic! You have 10 working days to have the repairs completed and we will retest completely free of charge. We can provide a written estimate for the repairs to be carried out by our skilled mechanics.
When is a cars first MOT due?
Every vehicle is required to take an MOT test when it is three years old. Then every 12 months thereafter.
Can I drive my car passed MOT expiry date?
Once the MOT expiry date is passed, the vehicle can no longer be legally driven on the road. The only exception to this rule is to drive the vehicle to a MOT test centre with a pre-book MOT test. There is no grace period, if your car fails you must not drive it until repairs are complete.
